Give yourself some light in the dark times.
As a mother, I know I put too much on my plate. Yep, it’s my own fault trying to conquer it all – and then some – in a day.. sound familiar?
Kids, Work, Home life, Fitness, Health and Well-being.. always trying to achieve everything and be the best parent, be attentive, be a role model, provide, keep my energy going.
We can master it all right?
In time.. we find ourselves feeling run down, tired, flat and grumpy. We’ve given everything our tank starts to feel pretty depleted.
So, what’s the solution?
Create your very own sanctuary at home… AND allow yourself even if it’s 5 minutes of uninterrupted ME time (Yep, I said it).
You’ve got permission to take 5 for yourself. Enjoy the pleasure of just being.. not for anyone else but for yourself. You’ll be surprised at how rejuvenated you’ll feel and how ready you will feel to tackle anything that comes your way.
So, how do you do it?
Creating your sanctuary is a personal thing so adjust it to what works for you..
Here are some guidelines I use…
☀️1. What are your needs?
Think about what your needs are when it comes to your space. Are you in an office all day? If so, consider making your space near a window or outdoors so that you can connect with nature, feel some sunlight, and feel more grounded.
☀️2. Seek out the perfect spot.
Find some where that you will feel safe, and relaxed. Seek out a place that your soul can feel rejuvenated even if you’ve only got 5 minutes which you get to spend in there during the day.
☀️3. It doesn’t need to be complicated
Keep it simple – keep your space clean, simple, and clutter free so that you can clear your mind while you’re there.
☀️4. Create a boundary for your sacred space.
This space is for you, so create a boundary and be firm with that boundary.
☀️5. Furnish with your favourite finishing
Complete your area with your favourite finishing and colour to suit your style.
Now, get to it and get to enjoying some YOU time! 💜💚🧡
